v1.1.025 October 2026
Liquid Glass interface, terminal overhaul and fifty new features
Added
- Complete interface re-skin: iOS-inspired liquid glass panels, deep blue and black palette, 18px radii and hairline borders
- Three colour themes with a configurable accent colour
- Terminal rewritten on xterm.js with web links, in-terminal search and unicode 11 width support
- Terminal extras: font size, scrollback, cursor blink, history, prefix tab completion, rename, clear and per-tab kill
- Image preview tabs for common raster formats
- .editorconfig indentation support
- Git stash create, list, apply and pop; tags list and create; remote URL display; full commit patch viewer; discard changes
- Task detection for npm scripts, Makefile targets and docker compose, runnable in the terminal
- Breadcrumbs with a symbol dropdown and a dedicated outline view
- Sticky scroll, bracket pair colourisation, indentation guides, whitespace rendering and smooth caret options
- Linked editing, inlay hints, parameter hints and snippet completion from extensions
- Selection transforms to upper, lower and title case; sort lines; remove duplicate lines
- Trim trailing whitespace, insert final newline, convert indentation and switch line endings
- Auto save after a delay or on focus change
- Zen mode, compare-with-saved diff, document statistics and a listening-ports panel
- Custom user snippets, editable from Settings
- Explorer filter box, file duplication, drag and drop moves, and per-file Git status markers
Changed
- Debugger resume-on-entry is now deterministic, so user breakpoints are never skipped
- Format-on-save uses the extension formatter directly, so it works even when the file is not focused
- Opening a file that already has a diff tab now opens the real editor instead of the diff
- Sidebar and panel sizes persist across restarts
- Settings are grouped and searchable, with import, export and restore defaults
Fixed
- Tab switching no longer leaves stale content in the editor
- Breakpoints are cleared reliably and stay in sync with the debug session
- Unsaved draft files are removed once a tab is closed
- External file changes are detected without an echo from SD Code’s own saves
